Here’s your chance to put Dobrogea’s rich culinary heritage on the international stage by joining the prestigious competition Food Film Menu 2025, curated by IGCAT – the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism.
As a proud Candidate of the European Region of Gastronomy 2029 title, Dobrogea is calling for short films that celebrate our local food traditions, landscapes, and people. If you have a unique story to tell, this is your moment!
What is the Food Film Menu?
IGCAT’s Food Film Menu is an annually selected list of 14 award-winning short films that showcase regional food cultures and traditions from around the world. Through these stories, filmmakers capture the powerful connection between food, heritage, and local identity.
Each year, an international jury of IGCAT experts select the best films from submissions sent to IGCAT from across the globe. The selection becomes a permanent Food Film Menu and joins IGCAT’s collection of amazing films that highlight the IGCAT’s aim of preserving and promoting food uniqueness. From the selection, the films enter a social media vote to select the Public’s Favourite Film.
The winning films are published annually on IGCAT’s website, social media as well as our partners media channels. They are also shown in film festivals across the globe.
